JOB OVERVIEW
Eataly is seeking a creative and experienced Lead Designer to oversee the design and execution of in-store and digital communication. This role will be pivotal in enhancing our brand identity, engaging customers, and creating visually compelling experiences both online and in our physical spaces. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and design, a strong understanding of brand storytelling, and the ability to collaborate across various teams. This position will manage a team of corporate graphic designers. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Brand Stewardship & Creative Development
Concept Development:
Lead the creative direction for in-store displays, signage, and digital communication, ensuring alignment with Eataly's brand identity and marketing goals.
Design Execution:
Create visually appealing graphics, layouts, and multimedia content for in-store promotions, digital marketing campaigns, social media, and website updates.
Team Leadership:
Manage and mentor a team of designers, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with marketing, merchandising, and operations teams to develop cohesive communication strategies that enhance the customer experience.
Brand Consistency:
Ensure all design work adheres to Eataly’s brand standards and guidelines, maintaining a consistent voice and visual identity across all channels.
Project Management:
Oversee multiple design projects from concept to completion, managing timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
Market Trends:
Stay up-to-date with design trends, consumer behavior, and industry best practices to continuously elevate Eataly’s visual communication.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field.
Demonstrated and in-depth expertise in design, with a focus on both print and digital media; experience in retail or food industries is a plus.
Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects and a keen eye for aesthetics and detail.
Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, etc.) and familiarity with web design principles.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Compensation: the base pay rate for this position is $85,000- $95,000
