Network Engineer

The Opportunity

They are seeking a skilled Network Engineer who is passionate about forming and implementing cutting-edge networking capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, experience in maintaining and improving network infrastructure, and great analytical and problem-solving skills. This person is energetic, self-directed, and self-motivated and can apply expertise to drive complex and technical solutions. They are looking for someone who strives toward innovation. Additionally, they should have excellent communication skills and be comfortable working in a collaborative team environment, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Network Engineer will report to the Network Manager and work closely with other members of the Technology Group team.

What You’ll Do

 

• Maintain knowledge of technology, protocols, and standards.


• Configure and troubleshoot: routers, switches, and firewalls.


• Create and update network documentation.


• Monitor systems for performance, reliability, and security issues.


• Resolve escalated tickets.

What They’re Looking For

Education

 

• BS in Computer Science or Information Technology


• Industry certifications such as CCNA.

Experience

 

• Minimum 4-5 years of experience


• Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructures


• Deep understanding of networking protocols and concepts.

Knowledge/Skills

 

• Strong knowledge of Cisco routing and switching platforms


• Experience with Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls


• Experience with Cisco, Meraki, and Aruba access points


• Knowledge of Cisco’s best practices and designs


• Knowledge of network monitoring tools and protocols


• Enterprise Network Management Experience is a plus


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
