The Risk Technology group builds and supports a global risk platform enabling the Risk Management group to oversee all areas of risk across the Firm. The risk platform provides capabilities for measuring, quantifying, analyzing, reporting, and controlling exposures across market and credit.
The position is for a Senior Developer who will be part of Risk Technology team. The developer will play a key role in major transformation projects involving the end-to-end build of a modern, highly scalable, risk platform.
The role will involve the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of risk analytics, data modelling, reporting, and management systems. This will be executed by implementing system components; coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting issues and resolving production problems.
Primary Responsibilities:
Building key risk technology components Interfacing with senior stakeholders in Risk Management and across the firm to gather requirements and resolve issues Contributing ideas and industry best practices to the wider Risk Technology group as part of design discussions and incident reviews
Essential Experience/ Skills:
Deep expertise in Java, Python, or similar programming language with experience building production applications Experience in risk analytics, market risk, or credit risk Strong knowledge of SQL and large-scale data modeling, processing, and storage utilizing modern columnar and relationship databases like Oracle, Snowflake, and AWS RedShift Experience implementing cloud-based applications utilizing technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Lamda Knowledge of modern SDLC tooling, including Git, Bamboo, and Jira Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar technical discipline

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data related issues Strong verbal and written communication skills Self-starter and entrepreneurial in approach Ability to escalate and follow-up proactively Good time management skills
Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $150,000-200,000.
The salary offered will take into consideration an individual’s experience level and qualifications.
