This position is based out of NYC. We follow a hybrid work model of 3 days/ week in office.

Overview

At Credit Genie, AI is not a buzzword. We see this technology as a means to generate additional value for our customers. We are looking for a passionate and pragmatic AI tech lead to design and deliver AI systems for both internal and customer-facing applications. You will be working out of our brand new office in New York City.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will:

• Set the company’s AI roadmap in collaboration with our leadership.

• Work in collaboration with a growing team of AI Engineers on the design and execution of AI Proof Of Concepts (POCs).

• Collaborate with Product leaders and Engineers from other teams to productionize successful POCs.

• Set and maintain high development standards for the team.

• Have fun experimenting with new technologies and staying up to date with the latest developments in the field (e.g., through conferences, professional networks, …).

Requirements 

• A PhD in a relevant field (e.g., Machine Learning, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, …) and 4+ years of experience building Machine Learning and AI systems OR Master degree in a relevant field and 8+ years of experience building Machine Learning and AI systems.

• Proficiency in Python and modern libraries (e.g., Pydantic, FastAPI, …).

• Proficiency in Machine Learning and AI libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, …) and ecosystems (e.g., HuggingFace).

• Proficiency in AI agent frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, CrewAI, …).

• Proficiency in software development best practices (version control, testing, CI/CD, …).

• Working knowledge of cloud development (e.g., familiar with any of AWS, Azure, GCP).

Nice to Have 

• Working knowledge of Kubernetes or other container solutions.

• Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, AWS CDK, …).

• Familiarity with other languages (e.g., TypeScript/JavaScript, Go, Rust, …).

Base Pay Range for a Staff Engineer is $150,000 - $250,000 per year. Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total compensation and rewards package at Credit Genie. You may also be eligible to participate in the bonus and equity programs.
