WHO WE ARE
DoSomething is a thirty year old nonprofit fueling young people to change the world. These young activists have made a real difference from donating over 1 million jeans to homeless youth; to over 4,600 young people powering the petition that compelled Apple to create emojis representing people of color; and providing 585,965 menstrual products to achieve gender equity! On top of all that, DoSomething has registered 365,000 young people to vote and claim our democracy since 2018, with our voter turnout rate, above the national average, at 62 percent.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
DoSomething seeks a creative Senior UX Designer who can enable the programming and experiences we deliver to “break the 4th wall” of place, space, and community interaction.

The Senior UX Designer will lead visual design (we use Figma) across technologies and tools with an eye on the ever-shifting landscape of how and where young people engage through technology. They will utilize member-centered design to realize final design products, including close collaboration with young people.

They’ll be active participants with the entire Product and engineering team (about eight people in total) throughout our scrum process and collaborate regularly with others across the organization.

As a result, the Senior UX Designer will play a key role in fueling DoSomething’s millions of youth members to take action to address the most pressing issues facing their world.
