Amazon Advertising’s Marketing Insights Technology (MINT) team is looking for a data engineer to help us change the way we create, automate and distribute advertising insights to our customers. The MINT team’s vision is to build products and services that surface recommendations and insights, and tools that drive scale through automation. We categorize our products under two broad categories based on their function and customers (1) Insights and recommendations creation (I&R), (2) Insights scaling and enablement.
We're seeking a Software Development Manager to lead the evolution of our content and insights platform used by Amazon Ads' sales teams to create compelling Advertiser presentations to drive Ads revenue. Over the last two years we have successfully consolidated content from multiple tools, but our sales teams still spend hours navigating content taxonomy, curating slides, and manually customizing presentations for advertiser presentations.
Your mission will be to transform this experience enabling sales teams to go from insight discovery to presentation-ready content in minutes. You'll lead the transformation of IHub from a content repository into an intelligent insight discovery and presentation platform that helps drive advertising revenue growth. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on Amazon Ads' business by dramatically improving how our sales teams prepare for advertiser meetings. You'll be at the forefront of applying GenAI technology to solve real business challenges, while building a platform that will scale across international markets and multiple use cases.
Beyond technical expertise, we're looking for a leader who understands the sales process and can partner effectively with account teams to streamline their workflows. You'll work closely with sales leadership, product managers, and content teams to ensure IHub delivers the right insights at the right time, enabling our sales teams to create compelling advertiser stories quickly and effectively.
Key job responsibilities
Building intelligent search and recommendation systems to surface relevant insights
Developing AI-powered presentation generation capabilities
Creating interactive data visualization components for real-time insight exploration
Implementing presentation customization tools for brand assets and creative elements
Designing analytics systems to track insight effectiveness and presentation outcomes
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $166,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
