This position is specifically for Radiology DTP Support. This position will provide support onsite/remote support for Radiology department across all facilities of Mount Sinai Health System, the primary location is at Mount Sinai Beth Israel facility at 16th Street.
The Applications Analyst II designs and specifies information systems solutions to address business needs and the methods for installing them.
Responsibilities- Works with client management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes (e.g., diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools, etc.).
- Formulates logical statements of business, scientific and/or engineering requirements.
- Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost effective solution for the systems design considering existing systems, available technology, the capacity and limitations of equipment, operating time and form of desired results.
- Works with development, operations, technical support and other IT areas as appropriate throughout the development and installation processes.
- Designs a detailed systems testing plan to ensure an accurate and effective product.
- May give some direction and guidance to other Application Analysts.
- Prepares charts, tables and diagrams to assist in analyzing problems, utilizing, if necessary, various business, scientific and/or engineering mathematical techniques.
- Analyzes existing system logic difficulties and revises the logic and procedures involved as necessary.
- May assist in the supervision and preparation of logic flow charting.
- May act as a project leader.
- Performs related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Four years of solid, diverse work experience in IT
- 2 ? 3 years? experience with support of Radiology Information systems namely Radiology PACS, Powerscribe applications, PACS workstation, and user desktop support skills.
- Communicate and coordinate with field service engineers, network personnel, technologists, and radiologists.
- Provide remote and on-site Radiology application support for radiologists
- Create new user logins and edit permissions in PACS and reporting systems for Radiology technologists and schedulers.
- Reconcile and merge patient images that are missing DICOM info and have not reached the correct accession.
- Onboard new radiologists by creating logons on all reporting systems, introduce/train them for all radiology software, and providing on-call support.
- Create and merge outside exams for consult studies requested by other physicians.
- Troubleshoot issues preventing storage for images on PACS. Resolving these issues are critical to ensure accurate and timely reads.
This is a hybrid position (90% on-site and 10% remote, candidate may need to come all days during the first month or until fully gets trained), this position will be on-call for a week at a time, rotating every 10 weeks.
