Position Overview:


In the role of Digital Print and Graphic Designer, be responsible for creating visually compelling designs that effectively communicate brand messages across various digital and print platforms. This role involves collaborating with clients, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to develop creative concepts and execute designs that align with project objectives and brand guidelines. Responsibilities may include:


Design and Production: Create a substantial and consistent output of high-quality digital and print materials, such as infographics, fact sheets, web pages, flyers, advertisements, email announcements, reports, toolkits, logos, presentations, and charts. Create straightforward materials quickly, often consisting of handouts, presentations, and charts or graphs for other departments to incorporate into their reports.


Professional Development and Collaboration: Keep up-to-date with the latest best practices and innovations in graphic design, particularly in digital-first approaches within public health, and consistently share insights and ideas with the Communications Department as well as colleagues from various departments and projects.


Client Relations and Consultation: Approach all interactions with a focus on customer service and adherence to best practices, ensuring that the needs of those requesting materials are met while also providing insights and suggestions for design work that effectively supports their objectives.


Template Development and User Engagement: Create templates and customizable materials that can be utilized by a diverse group of staff members, regardless of their design expertise. Maintain regular communication with staff at all levels to evaluate the need for new templates and assess the effectiveness of those that have been created.




Qualifications:


Professional Experience: Five years of full-time experience as a graphic designer for both digital and print preferred.


Collaboration and Initiative: Able to work both independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of self-motivation to remain actively engaged in projects.


Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.


Graphic Design Expertise and Principles: Have a strong design sensibility paired with a comprehensive understanding of outstanding graphic design. This knowledge is rooted in fundamental principles like readability, accessibility, and user engagement, which ensures that the designs are both impactful and welcoming.


Collaboration and Adaptability: Be capable of effectively receiving guidance from a diverse group of staff members. Be skilled in managing multiple projects of differing complexity, prioritizing tasks effectively, and handling last-minute requests with tight deadlines.
